The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale form the southern part of the ‘Heritage
Country’, that also include the townships of Byford and Mundijong, as well as
Serpentine and Jarrahdale. Located
at the northern part of the spectacular Peel Region and only 45 km south east of
Perth, the region
represents the true country lifestyle of Western Australia, with farms, orchards
and historic towns.
Visitors can reflect on the colonial heritage that are
evident in some of the historic townships, that can also be found preserved in
the number of small museums throughout the region.
There are also the many nature attractions, from the Jarrah forests that has
evolved over thousands of years, to the seasonal wildflowers. Visitors can also
enjoy the Serpentine Falls National Park, dams and other parks and reserves,
many of them providing picnic spots, BBQ and seating facilities.
