Mount Barker - Cities, Towns and Localities
Mount Barker is located within the Shire of Plantagenet, part of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia. It is ideally positioned from which to enjoy all that is on offer in the area and attractions that are further a field.

As the Shire's commercial centre Mount Barker is easily accessible from the Muirs Highway in the south-west, the Albany Highway from the north and south and the Mount Barker-Porongurup Road from the east. Popular with tourist, it is mainly an agricultural region that includes sheep and cattle, as well as the many vineyards, producing prize winning table wines.

Whether it's taking a tourist drive through the ranges, enjoying the locally produced wines from the numerous wineries, exploring the arts, crafts, local galleries and museum or dining at the many local cafes and restaurants, there is sure to be something for everyone one to enjoy.
