Joondalup is one of Australia's newest cities, officially named in 1998, having
formerly been under the control of the City of Wanneroo.
Located on the edge of Lake Joondalup, the City of Joondalup is located just 27
km north of Perth CBD and covers an area of some 96 km square from beach to
bushland. The city centre is an easy 25 minute drive north of Perth
along the Mitchell freeway and only minutes from
the white sandy beaches of the Sunset Coast.
