The seaside resort and fishing port of Inverloch is located at the mouth of
Anderson Inlet in the popular Venus Bay, and only 12 km east of
Wonthaggi and 140 km south-east (a
90 minute drive) from Melbourne.
For those planning a visit, Inverloch offers a number of aquatic activities,
from the pristine beaches, fishing, diving, surfing, boating and inlet swimming
for the family. Inverloch’s main foreshore reserve extends from the commercial
centre down to the beach at the entrance to Andersons Inlet. The foreshore is
home to the Bunurong Environment Centre, housing one of the country’s largest
private shell collection within its shell museum.
