Australia has many spectacular coastal destinations, although very few can boast
the fame of the
Coast and its iconic drive The Great Ocean Road. This scenic drives winds
along the south-western coast of Victoria for some 243 km, taking in the rugged
cliffs, tall bluffs, limestone stacks and windswept beaches, as well as passing
through lush rainforest and eucalypts. This popular drive also pass through
numerous coastal and seaside towns, villages and hamlets, making for some
idyllic and interesting places to stop for an hour or two, and maybe even
overnight or longer to fully explore the surrounding area.
Starting from Torquay,
just south of Geelong, you can
travel the entire route to Allansford, just east of Warrnambool.
