Quorn - Cities, Towns and Localities
Just 41 km from Port Augusta via Stirling North and Pichi Richi Pass is the town of Quorn, making the ideal base from which to visit the nearby attractions such as Warren and Buckaringa Gorges and the Dutchman’s Stern Conservation Park.

Quorn is home to the Pichi Richi Railway, one of Australia’s best-known steam train journeys. For train timetable, fares and bookings check their website. The town’s railway history started in 1879 when the narrow gauge railway reached Quorn from Port Augusta. Closed in 1957, it was restored and reopened in 1974.

As well as the railway, there are many historic buildings that date from 1878, museums, galleries, including a number of cottage craft industries.
