Tully Gorge National Park - Cities, Towns and Localities
Spectacular scenery awaits the visitor to this part of Queensland. Located some 40km from Tully which has the title of being Australia's wettest town. Surrounded by steep cliffs and rainforest the drive up to the gorge is notable for you will pass through banana plantations, sugar cane, rainforest, winding roads, and pass by crystal clear streams.

The road comes to an end at the Kareeya hydro-electricity station one of two hydro power stations in Queensland the other being at Barron Gorge near Cairns. The Kareeya station produces some 72,000kw of electricity has been operating continuously since 1957 without producing any greenhouse gases.

Camping is by permit only at the Tully Gorge camping area. Bushwalks are available as are freshwater and picnic facilities the picturesque Tully Falls are nearby.
