Eungella National Park - Cities, Towns and Localities
Eungella WaterfallEungella National Park which means ‘Cloud’ in the local aboriginal language is nestled amongst the peaks of the Clarke Range approximately halfway between Mackay and Proserpine.

A magnificent park covering 52,000 hectares sheltering a wide variety of native animals and flora some found nowhere else. The peaks in the park are often shrouded in mist and clouds hence the aboriginal name for the area.

Lowland rainforest are also plentiful here as are eucalypt forest to the west of the peaks. Platypus viewing is a popular activity in the park along with wilderness trekking, experienced bushwalkers only.

Picnic and campground facilities are available, permits are required to camp in the park.
