A low spreading perennial commonly known as 'Billybuttons'.
Whilst there are other
similar looking flowers also known as 'billy buttons', C. platycephalus has the
globular compound yellow flower with a flattened top, approximately 1-3 cm wide.
The stems and leaves are white-woolly, the leaves up to 3 cm long.
This species in widespread in the drier parts of the inland regions and quite
common in central Australia.
