As the commercial centre and hub for the Central Australia region, Alice Springs also provides a range of services for the regions Indigenous population.

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Inc (CAAC)
Central Australian Aboriginal Congress was established in 1973 and has gown over 30 years to be one of the largest and oldest Aboriginal community controlled health services in the Northern Territory.
Central Australian Stolen Generations & Families Aboriginal Corporation
CASG&FAC seeks to develop reparation measures in order to aid the healing processes of the Stolen Generations people.
Central Land Council
The Central Land Council is a Council of 90 Aboriginal people elected from communities in the southern half of the Northern Territory. The Central Land Council region covers 771,747 square kilometres of remote, rugged and often inaccessible areas that is home to a dispersed population across large geographical areas. There are 15 different Aboriginal language groups in Central Australia. The CLC region is divided into nine regions based around these language groups.

The Central Land Council is a representative body promoting Aboriginal rights. It is a statutory authority under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. It also has functions under the Native Title Act 1993 and the Pastoral Land Act 1992.

National Archives of Australia
The National Archive (NAA) publication ‘Tracking Family - A Guide to Aboriginal Records Relating to the Northern Territory’ This PDF document can be downloaded for reading from their website. You can also find out other related information by typing in ‘Tracking Family’ on the NAA search box.
Northern Land Council
The Northern Land Council was established in 1973 to represent traditional Aboriginal landowners and Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory of Australia.

IHRNA - Indigenous Human Rights Network Australia
IHRNA is a network of people who advocate and promote the awareness of Indigenous human rights in Australia. We come together to facilitate access to information, expert advice, and the sharing of best practice solutions for indigenous people and peoples from a human rights approach.
