For those seeking employment in Alice Springs, there are a number of outlets for looking for work. Job ads can be found in the Tuesday and Wednesday issue of the Centralian Advocate, with Friday issue usually containing the most listings for those seeking work. The Northern Territory News also contain job ads, although they are more targeted to the northern region of the territory. Some local services also post up work available signs in their shop front window. You can also view job vacancies through the newspaper's website. Just make sure you select the Northern Territory and Alice Springs as the place where you are seeking work. There are a number of local recruitment agencies, with government jobs posted through the government websites.

When applying for advertised jobs some job vacancies will have specific requirements, for example some are Aboriginal identified positions, others may be based on gender, due to the role. Some jobs will require an Orche Card and or police checks, others may require specific knowledge such as First Aid or HR licence.
