One of Sydney's popular activities is shopping and Sydney has plenty of places to shop. From the upmarket boutiques to the dollar specials outlets, warehouse outlets, shopping plazas and malls, you can satisfy your shopping needs.

Sydney also has many popular local markets held throughout Sydney metropolitan region, that include Paddy's Market, The Rocks Market and Paddington Market. There are produce and growers markets, art and craft and country fairs, where you can enjoy the ambience and purchase that something special.

The Rocks
• One of the key attractions in Sydney is 'The Rocks', described as the 'Birthplace of Australia', it is the location of Australia's first settlement.

• What makes a great market? If it’s about passionate people selling things you want to buy in a pretty cool location then The Rocks Markets is one of Sydney’s greatest. You know The Rocks is on the doorstep of the CBD, but it’s slower here, and infinitely more charming. And, really, who wants to rush when there’s so much to take in.
Rookwood Cemetery

Rose Seidler House

• Located 30 km north of the city, approximately 30 minutes by car. Built between 1948 and 1950, is nestled in natural bushland, with panoramic views of Ku-ring-gai National Park from its glass walls and sun filled deck. Part of the Historic Houses Trust of NSW.

• The nearest station is Riverstone Station on the Richmond line. From there you will need to get a taxi (Riverstone Taxi 0408 978 251). A one hour drive from the city. Rouse Hill was established by Richard and Elizabeth Rouse in 1813 and has been in use by six generations of the one family. Part of the Historic Houses Trust of NSW.
Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney
