Firworks on Sydney Harbour - courtesy Tourism New South Wales

McKell Park is a beautifully kept garden perched on the very end of Darling Point overlooking Sydney Harbour. One of the best vantage points in the eastern suburbs, and packed during New Year's Eve and any other firework occasion, it has views to the Harbour Bridge, North Shore and out to the The Heads.

Established in the 1980s, when the Canonbury home was demolished, it is an intimate park for picnics, sitting in the sun and reading a book, or just to enjoy the views.

Looking for somewhere to stay in the eastern suburbs, check out our listing of Eastern Sydney accommodation and Sydney accommodation. In addition to our listed online travel guide information, contact the local tourism visitor centre for your destination for more attractions, tours, local maps and other information.
