• Nestled at the base of the majestic Blue Mountains escarpment is the popular Megalong Australian Heritage Centre that offers the visitor an experience of rural life, set in stunning wilderness bushland.

The homestead property and venue offer a diverse range of unique experiences, horses, cattle, wildlife, rural lifestyles in guesthouse, cottages or camping. Enjoy adventure horse riding, or kids pony rides and farmyard animals. • Operating for over 50 years, the Megalong Valley has been famous for its Devonshire Teas since the 1930’s when the small rural community boasted six different tearooms. Today, you can enjoy country breakfasts and light lunches, as well as the much-loved scones and apple pies made from locally grown apples and home-made blackberry jam. Even the water for your tea is boiled in the grandmother’s original cast iron urn, whilst a wood fire still burns warmly in the dining room on cold days.

So for a wonderful break in your visit to the Blue Mountains and Megalong Valley, drop into the tearooms and peruse the simple and traditional menu and enjoy old-fashioned hospitality with delicious homemade food.
